Demitro "Demi" Hauntley[1] is a supporting character in Disney Junior's "Vampirina". Along with Gregoria, he helps take care of and guide Vampirina Hauntley when her parents are away and usually tags along on her adventures. However, he is also rather clumsy and forgetful, which can sometimes cause or escalate the problems Vee is facing, though he has come up with solutions in some situations. AbilitiesDemi has selective substantiality. He is able to become physical enough to do things like open windows (such as in "Frog's Breath") however he can also simply phase through walls. He has the ability to fly and turns partially invisible (translucent) when he is about to pass on to the next dimension. Demi appears to, at least some of the time, default to a substantial form. This is seen in "The Not So Haunted House" when he is frightened by his own reflection and flies backward, knocking a hole shaped like himself into Edna Peepleson's wall. Demi has exhibited knowledge of several magic spells which he has given Vee access to for solving certain problems. He also appears to be able to do non-verbal instantaneous magic, such as how he repairs the damage to Edna's wall in less than a second simply by wiggling his fingers. The only sign (besides the repair itself) being a sparkle around his hands and a twinkling sound. Demi appears to lack full control over his innate magical powers however, since in the process of repairing Edna's wall he turned it from green to purple and stated that was not his intention. Demi also appears to be able to change his size, as he shrinks into a tiny version to inhabit a dollhouse while singing to Vee. AgeDemi has made several vague references to his age. In "Taking Scare of Business", he mentions being obligated to do something for "the full moon of eighteen-ninety-two" however other references far precede 1892. For example, when using the catch phrase "Rome wasn't built in a day" he mentions "I should know, I was there", implying he is over two THOUSAND years old. DescriptionDemi is one of Vee's best friends, and she loves having her friend around. A running gag in the show is he does cartwheels in the air. Even though Demi can be clumsy, everybody loves him dearly. He also may be related to Vee or adopted into the family, since he uses the Hauntley surname. PersonalityDemi may suffer from some sort of dementia, as despite being a ghost for centuries (perhaps millenia) he regularly appears to forget about his supernatural abilities. In "Frog's Breath" for example, he taps on the window asking the gals to open it for him (unable to enter the home, he couldn't find one that was open), prompting Gregoria to remind him he can simply "go through walls", to which he responds "oh, right" and does so. Demi appears to be easily frightened, such as being terrified of his own reflection. RelationshipsVee describes Gregoria as "your best friend" when talking to Demi in "Taking Scare of Business". LooksDemi is a small cyan apparition with a purplish-pink bow-tie on his chest. He has very short arms and legs and has only 2 fingers on his hands. The 4 fingers are attached together but not his thumbs. He has big eyes with small black pupils, a tail-like part on his head, a small nose, toe-less feet, and a smiling mouth. Trivia
