Synopsis

Vee's first easter egg hunt turns into a rescue mission after a baby dragon egg accidentally gets mixed in with the other eggs.

Plot

Vampirina is practicing to win her very first Easter egg hunt. Oxana states that there are a lot of eggs that have been dipped. The Hauntleys want to make sure Vampirina makes a splash in hosting her first Easter egg hunt. Demi then splashes one of the eggs in the pot, making him change color. Vampirina then gets the batties, as she is a little nervous about the egg hunt. Gregoria and Demi reassure her that it will be fun. Also, the prize is an Easter basket full of treats that Edna is giving to whoever finds the most eggs. Vampirina hopes she is ready to win, as she has never been in an Easter egg hunt before. Gregoria and Demi motivate her and tell her that she can find anything. Vampirina is then ready for the egg hunt.

Narcisa and Cosmina then arrive, hoping Vampirina has a room. Once inside, they come with a dragon egg, as they couldn't leave it at home when it is so close to hatching. They then decide to tuck it in, nice and warm. Gregoria notices it, and has a bad feeling about it. With the Peeplesons arriving soon, Demi recites a spell that makes all eggs float off and hide.

Edgar, Poppy, and Bridget are ready for the egg hunt. Poppy wants to find pink eggs while Bridget is hoping she doesn't find any that are too spooky, as the Hauntleys decorated them. Whoever gathers the most eggs wins the basket full of treats. Vampirina and Edgar state they will win. Also, Edna reveals she hid a golden egg this morning to make it more fun, and anyone who finds it will be automatically declared the winner. The egg hunt then begins.

So far, Demi and Gregoria try to guide Vampirina through to no avail. Meanwhile, Poppy and Bridget find eggs. Vampirina has three while Edgar has four. After they collect more eggs, Narcisa and Cosmina notice their dragon egg missing. As they continue their search, Gregoria notices that Demi's spell must have caused the dragon egg to hide itself. Gregoria and Demi then search for the egg.

Meanwhile, Vampirina finds Demi, who tells her about the missing dragon egg. Poppy and Bridget decide to help Vampirina find the egg, although she will lose the hunt if she searches for it now. Vampirina decides to win the hunt first so she could find the dragon egg before Edgar. Vampirina then collects more eggs and finds another when Edgar finds a golden egg, winning the hunt. It is then revealed that Edgar found the dragon egg and Vampirina found the golden egg. She admits that she should have been focused in winning the dragon egg instead of trying to win the hunt. Vampirina then decides to get the dragon egg when it disappears, and Edgar tells Edna about it.

Vampirina then sees the baby dragon in its egg walking off. Everyone then chases it but it soon escapes. Bridget and Poppy agree that they never thought they'd be on an Easter hunt for an egg with a mind of its own. Vampirina decides for them to think like a baby dragon. She then pulls the blanket, which the baby dragon was sleeping under, as she hatched. Edgar then arrives, and Vampirina gives him his egg, which has rolled off. Although that was the winning egg, Vampirina realizes there's more important things than winning, like finding a lost dragon egg that's about to hatch in a living room and getting the dragon back to her family.

Narcisa and Cosmina, now with the dragon, thank the Hauntleys for their hospitality and helping them find the dragon. After they leave, Vampirina states that although she didn't win the Easter basket, she helped see the dragon named Screechers so happy. Edgar then arrives with the Easter basket, and thanks Vampirina for helping him find the golden egg. Since they found it together, they will share the basket, with Poppy and Bridget having some, as well, as Vampirina couldn't have done it without them. Edgar notices the egg-shaped candy missing, and it is revealed that Demi ate them under the table. Everyone then searches for the eggs.
