"The Vamp-Opera" is the 1st Segment of the 42nd Episode of the 2nd Season of Disney Junior's and Brown Bag Films' "Vampirina. It's premiered on October 18th, 2019, alongside with the 2nd Segment "This Haunted House Is Closed".

Synopsis

Vee writes a song made of a spell that gets the whole town singing.[1]

Plot

Vampirina, Poppy, and Bridget are writing a brand-new song for the Ghoul Girls to feature it at the block party, but sadly, nothing good is coming out. All they at seeing they have songwriter's block decides to use a spell to make a good song before tomorrow night - when it's the block party. However, after looking for a while for the perfect one, they realize there isn't one precisely as they want. Vampirina, with hopes, tells them she could do a hybrid spell, "It's when you put two spells together", and even knowing that it is riskful, she cast it.

When she is casting the spells, she realizes it says "everything," and she changes it by "everyone," turning it to affect everyone. Therefore, now the entire town is cursed by a singing spell, and no one can stop to sing. Seeing this, Vee asks for help from Demi and Gregoria, and Gregoria tells her that it is too strong to undo it. Also, it probably might go on the break of dawn, so they go to sleep.

The next day, Vee wakes up and realizes she still without being able to talk. Therefore, she goes alongside by Demi and Gregoria to finally explain this to her parents. Who unlike to get mad, are positive, calming down Vee and telling her that they will fix it. Then, they all go downstairs, beginning the musical sequence. In which the highlights are: the Peeplesons singing at Hauntley's house - also known as Scare B&B, all neighbors singing along, and the solos from the block mailman and Mr. Gore.

After they realize that Vampirina is the only one able to undo the spell, all they go to the basement, aiming to reverse it using chemistry supplies and potions. In there, Vee finally can break the curse, and now everyone can talk again. After that, they quickly go back upstairs because Edna comes to their house to ask if they all are ready for the block party. Also asking if the ghoul girls are prepared for as well, to which Vee response they are, making Poppy and Bridget get confused. Then, after a lot of trouble, they finally can enjoy their block party where The Ghoul Girls is about to play. The episode comes to its conclusion when The Ghoul Girls performs their brand-new song "Life is a Song" to all its neighbors.

  • This episode is similar to the Henry Danger episode, Henry Danger the Musical.
  • Chris Nee - Executive Producer of Disney Junior's "Doc Mcstuffins" and "Vampirina" - said in her official twitter account: "I had this crazy idea to write an all musical episode of Vampirina. I wrote the script in lyric form, and then Kooman and Dimond came to LA. We sat in a room with a piano at Disney and wrote it together. So proud of this one. And yeah, it makes me want to do even more musicals.", confirming that there's a big chance to get another musical soon. [2]
