Synopsis

Vee and her friends help a ghost pirate search for treasure so that he can be freed from a haunted map.

Plot

Vampirina, Bridget, Gregoria, and Poppy are searching for Bridget's bracelet when Demi appears, thinking it is a game of hide & shriek. Demi decides to look in the couch, but only finds a missing hand from Chef Remy Bones and an old map. Gregoria checks it, and it is a map of the Scare B&B. Suddenly, it transforms into a pirate named Rusty Topsail, and everyone introduces themselves to him. Topsail has been in the map for centuries, and came to find his family's legendary Topsail treasure. He found his grandparents' map and searched the house everywhere, but a piece of the map is missing. So, Topsail was cursed by being trapped in the map forever. He then voices what he liked to do in the past, and how great it would be for him to do it again. The only way to do so is to find the treasure. Vampirina and her friends decide to help him look, although Topsail says that pirates work for no one.

The treasure hunt then begins, and Vampirina states that she and her friends can do a lot of things when they put their heads together. The first stop on the map is a key hidden inside a wall. Demi finds the object quickly. That key opens a lockbox hidden under the sink. Topsail decides to do the rest himself. He finds the chest which he has difficulty opening. Gregoria decides to turn the key, and the chest opens. Topsail opens it, and finds a writing that says, "I have the bark of a dog and stand tall and true. I drink water, and I'm where you'll find your next clue." Poppy states that she always figures out the riddle on the back of the cereal boxes before Edgar. She states that the writing came from a tree.

Once there, Vampirina decides to get the clue at the top of the tree by turning into a bat. She then gives it to Topsail, who struggles to open it as it's glued. Gregoria states that the envelope can only be opened by the shrillest scream, which Bridget has. After Topsail struggles to produce the scream, Bridget does the scream after Demi frightens her, causing the envelope to open, and it has the missing piece of the map. Topsail thinks he can leave the map, but he did the task with help.

Everyone then follows the directions on the map until they find the Topsail Treasure. Topsail relocates a rug and tries to pull a hatch that was under it to no luck. Even with the work of everyone to move the bed, it's too heavy. Topsail says that teamwork isn't enough to find the treasure. As Topsail goes back into his map, Vampirina tells him that there's still a chance to get the treasure. Vampirina and her friends recapped how none of them would have gotten that far without working together, and they need Topsail's help. With everyone working together, they move the bed and Topsail retrieves the treasure. They also work together to open the chest, and once it opens, Topsail gets freed from his map so he can go back to his normal life. He thanks everyone for their help for finding it and gives everyone gifts, including a bracelet that looks just like the one Bridget lost. She hugs Topsail for it, with everyone joining in and Vampirina stating that hugs are a huge part of the vampire code, which Topsail likes.
